Google Apps Implementation

Many businesses are working in teams distributed in multiple offices. GenTec IT recently had a client approach us with a team of 5 people in Melbourne, 4 people in Sydney and 6 in Queensland. They wanted an email system that was scalable and would work the same for staff in each of their offices.

Google’s cloud based email solution was the suggested solution for its 99.9% reliability and flexibility when working with roaming staff.The client’s stafffrequentlytravelled for business, the Google Apps setup gave themaccessto emails, calendars and contacts on the run from laptops and smart phones.

GenTec IT also organised the registration of a domain name to give a professional look to emails, such as myname@mybusiness.com.au.

Google apps also enabled the client to share spreadsheets and word documents to each other without the need to install extra software or any special configuration. GenTec IT provided all the configuration and training for Google Apps and even imported the clients existing emails from Outlook to Google Apps.
